Established in 2021 by First Degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Brian Phillips and his wife Nicole a former early education teacher, Phillips Jiu Jitsu is a premium boutique Gracie Allegiance Jiu Jitsu studio located in the heart of Rancho Palos Verdes, specializing in our youth Mini Grom & Grom programs. 

Head Instructor : Brian Phillips

Brian Phillips is a first degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, with over 20 years of experience. He has taught for several RCJ Machado Jiu Jitsu programs, from New Orleans to Rigan Machado's in Los Angeles. Brian has gold medaled at every belt up to black belt, in addition to holding podium finishes of silver and bronze.  He is an IBJJF Worlds No-Gi Championships Brown Belt Master's Bronze Medalist, a NAGA Championships Brown Belt Master's Gi Gold Medalist, and an NAGA Adult's Silver Medalist, a California Classic International BJJ Championships Brown Belt Gi Bronze Medalist, and an North American BJJ Tournarment Purple Belt Master's Gi Gold Medalist, and an North American Purple Belt Adult's Gi Gold Medalist. 

Brian was raised and educated in Rancho Palos Verdes. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Point Loma Nazarene University, and a master's degree from Pace University. He looks forward to sharing his great love, joy, and experience of Jiu Jitsu with his hometown.
